Linda's hair Jounrey to Locs - Appointment 1

Hello Everyone,

It's been a while. I took a break from the internet for most of July, guess I needed to recover from Loc Appreciation Day, Lagos, 2017; which was fabulous by the way. You can see pictures from the event in my last post here.

Well it's a new month and I need the high of something new. So here we go. I have decided to follow a friend and new client's hair journey for a year and I hope it helps someone out there understand the loc'ing process.

Let's get right into it.

Linda's appointment was on the 26th of July, 2017. She had done the big chop in November of 2016 and had grown our barely 2 inches of her hair by the time we started her locs.

TWA- After shampooing, conditioning and oiling Linda's scalp with Locitude Minty Burst

Comb Twists - Lines horizontally in a grid like manner from the back up
No additional products used. Just water to dampen the hair as we go along.

Better view - Making progress with the comb twist as we go along.
Linda wanted her medium size locs, Not too small and not too big.

Texture Shot

We are all done now. Linda has properly sectioned locs and defined parts.
So looking forward to Linda's next appointment which has been slated for 3 - 4 weeks after her first appointment.

She has been asked to cover her hair up when she goes to bed, apply Locitude's Minty Burst on her scalp every other day and spray her baby locs with KUI Leave in conditioning mist as desired.

I also had a short talk with Linda on how she felt on starting this new journey, you can listen to our convo here.

Ok, folks that will be all for now.

xoxo, and keep it loc'd with the very best attitude there is.

Your Loc Head,
Ade.

Loc Appreciation Day, 2017 In Pictures

Hello blog,

Been forever and I think the perfect way to break the silence is with pictures since one picture speaks a thousand words. Get ready for this 500,000 word article of pictures.

I definitely need to do another post with highlight from the day. Thinking about how much fun I had on the 24th of June 2017 leaves me with a smile on my face always. I hope these pictures leave a smile on your face too.

It's a lot of pictures. Don't say I didn't warn you. :).
